You Know They've Grown Again When

Should've started this list long ago. I've thought up alot of snippets about this in my head through the years.

My favorite anecdote of knowing they've grown again happened last summer.
We were all (my sister, niece, me and 2 boys) watching the weekly music video countdown. The kids were very interested watching the show with mouths open, waiting for song #20 up to the number 1 song of the week. Nobody stood up and wandered around unless there were commercial breaks.

The last time the kids watched with mouths open was for the nth repeat of some disney movies. We've definitely graduated from that now.

For today, i know they've grown again because:

1. One son went to grandma, and the other stayed behind.

Used to be that, if grandma orders them to come over, both come over. Now 1 son has grown enough brains to decline.

2. Son celebrated his birthday with friends on his own.

3. When I asked son to buy soda, he bought, got glasses, poured, and gave me my own serving. And I didn't ask. What a nice kid...

Hey! Thanks for stopping by! I'm not sure if I should be on this site or one of your other ones. (let me know) But I totally am jealous of your little man behaving like such a gentleman. I thought our boy was doing such a great job then he just went and kneed husband in the junk. oh, well. Also, I haven't even dusted off my treadmill yet. Tomorrow. Maybe....
Oh wow, kneeing... we don't have a man in the house so I haven't seen that one...

Now that you've mentioned it, *I WISH* they'd knee their spermdonor

Enjoy the naughtiness, when they're grown, they're plain boring.

Can't say if your husband will enjoy it though, teehee...

feel free to post anywhere. i started this club half notebook because i don't want to pain friends on the other side with my weight/ size whining . heeehee

Hey, hey, not only boys, ladies! Sprite "clotheslined" John a couple of weeks ago and she's not even 2!
As for my treadmill, I've been neglecting for the week due to painting. Casey is gonna kill me. If she can catch me!
Thanks for stopping over, Kat! I'm liking your site!

Shh, don't let mine know they have options when it comes to visiting relatives. :-( You've trained that boy well if he's serving you in a glass. I'm impressed. Care to give mine a lesson.

Aww, I can't wait until my kids are old enough to even sit through a Disney movie. Now they wander away anytime they see something shiny. Your kid sounds nice. See if he wants to visit me in FL and serve drinks by the pool, Jamie won't bring me anything. Does he mix cocktails yet?
hahaha!, crazyass bitches...

Diliman Preparatory School QC Rocks

Summary: This is a School Review, based on our family's experience.

If you are looking for an excellent school in Quezon City for your elementary or high school children, Diliman Preparatory School along Commonwealth offers up-to-date competitive curriculum in Mathematics, Sciences and Reading. They also have excellent extra-curriculum activities that will help give your children a holistic education.

Last week, at my son's academic achievement awarding ceremony (he got the no.1 honor in class again, yay! Good job, son!), the CEO of the school talked to the parents about the achievements of the school for the year, and the changes for next year.

To be quick about it, this year, Diliman Preparatory School:
- started with the Singaporean Math curriculum
- used the very new Learning by Design Reading program (it's a research-based and assessment-based reading curriculum)
- I noticed they introduced Robotics this year
- There are more changes I approve of but I won't list …

Another birthday...

I can't believe my teen is now 15!

I saw my old post about Isiah's birthday in 2008 and wow... time does fly.

Well, Isiah's 15 today and things are still quite smooth sailing.

No honors in school this year, but that's alright.
He is passionate about his music more than ever. I admire that he regularly sets aside time to study and practice music on his own.
He is not as relationship-crazy or girl-crazy the past months, I wonder why.
He is totally into new-age yikies like meditation and chakras.
Seems like he is generally enjoying his school and friends.

I do bare my fangs for him mostly over his chore of washing the dishes, but that's about it. Yeah, boring.

But for this kind of boring, I am totally grateful. Yay.

Happy birthday son. Thank you for honoring my life with your presence. Love always,
